About the Artist
BIOGRAPHY
Tracy Bonham is a twice GRAMMY™ nominated singer-songwriter and classically trained violinist and pianist who rose to fame in 1996 with her Gold-certified debut album The Burdens of Being Upright (Island Records) and its #1 alternative hit “Mother Mother.” Known for her quirky songwriting and raw guitar style, Bonham has spent the past 30 years captivating audiences with her evolving artistry. In June 2025 she released her eighth studio album Sky Too Wide to critical acclaim, a deeply personal yet universal work that draws on her classical influences such as Debussy, Ravel, and Chopin and explores themes of marital breakdown, isolation, and self-reclamation. Featuring acclaimed jazz musicians Rene Hart (bass, co-producer) and Alvester Garnett (drums), along with Bonham’s own arrangements for strings and brass, Sky Too Wide reflects a powerful return to her musical roots and continues to resonate with both new listeners and longtime fans for its raw, candid beauty and emotional depth.
