Born in São Paulo, Brazil, Lari Basilio is a renowned guitarist celebrated for her melodic sensibility and technical prowess. She began her musical journey at age four with organ lessons, transitioning to guitar at eight under her father's guidance. Despite earning a law degree and briefly practicing law, Basilio's passion for music led her to pursue a full-time career in guitar. Her debut EP, Lari Basilio (2011), showcased her compositional skills and featured bassist Felipe Andreoli. She gained further acclaim with her 2015 release, The Sound of My Room, a CD/DVD project that premiered in a São Paulo movie theater, blending instrumental music with visual storytelling.

Basilio's 2019 album, Far More, recorded at Capitol Studios in Los Angeles, featured collaborations with esteemed musicians like Vinnie Colaiuta, Nathan East, and Greg Phillinganes, and included guest appearances by Joe Satriani and Siedah Garrett. In 2021, she partnered with Ibanez to release her signature guitar, the LB1, equipped with her custom Seymour Duncan pickups, marking her as the first female artist to have a signature pickup with the company. Her latest album, Your Love (2022), continues to highlight her expressive playing and compositional depth, solidifying her status as a leading figure in instrumental guitar music.
