About the Artist
BIOGRAPHY
Albert Castiglia, hailed by the Miami New Times as the heir apparent to America’s blues throne, follows his award-winning run with the “Blood Brothers” into a powerful new solo album, Righteous Souls. Fresh off winning “Best Blues Rock Album” at the Blues Music Awards with Mike Zito, Castiglia delivers blistering guitar work and soulful vocals on this Gulf Coast Records release. Initially unsure of his next direction after years of touring, Castiglia found inspiration in collaboration—calling on an all-star lineup including Joe Bonamassa, Josh Smith, Danielle Nicole, Kingfish Ingram, and even his daughter, Rayne. The resulting record celebrates friendship, family, and community through both original songs and covers of blues legends like Willie Dixon, Buddy Guy, Eric Clapton, and his mentor Junior Wells. As label president Mike Zito notes, Righteous Souls marks a bold artistic leap for Castiglia, solidifying his place among today’s premier blues artists.
